HYPERSPECTRAL IMAGING IN THERMAL INFRARED
Mon 11 Dec 2006 01:24:00 PM EET
SPECIM extends its family of ImSpector imaging spectrographs into thermal infrared. The new ImSpector L120M spectrograph operates at 8 to 12 micrometer wavelength range.
Attached either to an uncooled microbolometer camera or to a cooled MCT camera it works as an imaging spectrometer, Thermal Spectral Camera, providing full image information combined with high resolution spectral content from the target.
This combination of image and spectral information opens up new possibilities and applications for the thermal region. Thermal Spectral Camera can be used in numerous industrial, security and military applications, like material detection, sorting and classification, gas detection, and accurate thermal measurements.
