SPECIM presents its high speed chemical mapping solutions at IFPAC Jan 19-21!

Tue 18 Jan 2011 10:31:55 AM EET

SPECIM will be strongly present at IFPAC 2011, International Forum on Process Analytical Technology, in Baltimore USA, Jan 19-21.

At our booth No 401/403, organized together with VTT (Technical Research Centre of Finland), we are showing our high speed hyperspectral imaging workstation, SisuCHEMA, for rapid chemical mapping of tablets and other pharmaceutical products. SisuCHEMA is an efficient tool in formulation development, process trouble-shooting, product quality assurance, and in counterfeit detection.

We also demonstrate how our NIR hyperspectral camera, when equipped with multiple fiber optical probes, provides data simultaneously from multiple points in mixing and granulation processes, and improves monitoring and control of the processes.

Results obtained with these instruments will be presented in several talks during the event:

Rapid Quantitative Tablet Mapping Using Push-broom Hyperspectral Imaging – Harri Karjalainen from SPECIM (Thursday AM-V)

Characterization of Blending Processes Using Hyperspectral Imaging - Gabor J Kemeny from Middleton Research (Thursday AM-V)

Novel Optical Measurement Systems for Monitoring of Continuous Manufacturing Processes - Mikko Juuti from Technical Research Centre of Finland, VTT (Friday AM-I)

In-line Multipoint NIR Measurement for Controlling the Roller Compaction Process - Janne Paaso from Technical Research Centre of Finland, VTT (Friday AM-VII)
