A breakthrough of push-broom hyperspectral imagers operating in the thermal infrared, 3-5 and 8-12 um range for industrial chemical imaging applications
SPIE, the international society for photonics and optics, and Photonics Media, announced that SPECIM was named as a finalist for the 2010 Prism Award in the Detectors, Sensing, Imaging, and Cameras category.
The Prism Awards for Photonics Innovation is “an international competition for companies that recognize photonics products that break conventional ideas, solve problems, improve life with photonics - and make money”. SPECIM, celebrating its 15th year in the business, is a pioneer and leading supplier of hyperspectral cameras and imaging systems for broad range of applications. “Being selected as a finalist for this honourable award is recognition of our continued investment in the development of state of art hyperspectral imaging technology, and making it work for the benefit of our industrial, research and government customers”, says Mr. Timo Hyvärinen, COB of SPECIM.
SPECIM was recognized for development and deployment of Thermal Infrared Hyperspectral Imagers, the first products in the market that enable infrared chemical imaging in both industrial analyses laboratories and on-line process applications. For more information about these state of the art instruments please contact SPECIM at info@specim.fi.
Winners will be announced in San Francisco during SPIE Photonics West on Wednesday 26 January 2011.
